2 • DESCRIPTION
• The ESYLUX PROTECTOR KRF TCV 2G (hereafter referred to as radio module) has been designed
for use in houses, apartments and areas of residential use.
• The retrofittable radio module sends and receives alarm signals in conjunction with 9 V ESYLUX
PROTECTOR K lithium smoke detector from production year 2012 and is compatible with the
PROTECTOR RF-IO-Module and PROTECTOR Control Panel.
• As soon as the smoke detector emits an alarm across the network, the radio module uses radio
signals to send the alarm to all surrounding radio modules in its radio group.
An alarm message is then forwarded once by the radio modules in range within the respective
group in order to be able to bridge even larger distances, for example from the cellar via the
ground floor and to the top floor.
• If the smoke detector alarm is no longer active, the radio modules cancel the alarm after a few
seconds (approx 30 seconds).
• Up to 30 radio modules with smoke detectors can be assigned to a radio group.
