Writing with the Prisma
Remove the mat from the reading table. Place the sheet of paper you want to
write on on the reading table and localize the place where you want to start
writing. Hold the sheet firmly in place and put the pen on the paper. While you
are writing, look at the television screen.
Useful tips
Use the Prisma in a well illuminated area. Good lighting increases the quality of
the image. If possible, prevent direct illumination. This can lead to shading on
the television screen.
If you need damped light, then you should switch on the illumination on the
Prisma. Otherwise, the image on the television screen will be too dark.
Shiny documents can reflect the light back into the camera. This leads to
overexposure and to dazzling areas on the television screen. In this case,
gradually tilt the camera arm until the overexposed area on the television screen
disappears.
Please note
Do not touch the lens. A dirty lens can impair the image on the television
screen. If unclear and blurred areas appear on the television screen, you can
clean the lens gently with a soft dry cloth. The best cloths to use are the special
cloths available at opticians specially designed for cleaning lenses. Do not use
wet or abrasive cloths and do not use any chemical or abrasive cleaning agents.
To transport the Prisma, please always use the carry case which is included
with the scope of supply. Remove the power cable when you transport the
Prisma.
