4 Putting in service
EN
The PowerRouter conducts various tests during the start-up procedure. An error (P089) is indicated if the direction or phase of the current
sensor is incorrect or if the current sensor has been placed on the 'consumers' wire.
i
Read the PowerRouter Installation Manual for wiring information.
The PowerRouter must be disconnected from power during the installation work. After installation the following steps must be completed to
put the PowerRouter in service:
1.
Switch on the battery voltage.
2.
Switch on the AC voltage.
3.
Switch on the PowerRouter with the ON/OFF switch on the device.
4.
Run the installation tool to make specific changes to the configuration.
5.
Switch on the solar panel with the switch located on the bottom of the PowerRouter.
6.
Check the measured values in the menu, under operating parameters – system.
7.
Finally, perform a maintenance charge to completely charge the battery and start Self-use. Maintenance charging can be found in the
menu under service – maintenance charging.
The PowerRouter conducts various tests during the start-up procedure. An error is indicated if the current sensor is not detected.

Description
The 'depth of discharge' setting establishes how deep the battery may be
discharged if the grid power fails. This is the emergency power that is supplied
to the consumers via the local output.
During every charge/discharge cycle of the battery, the SOC (state of charge)
indication becomes less accurate. By carrying out maintenance charging once
per month this SOC value will be recalibrated.
In a Self-use system, the battery is charged during the day by the solar panel.
The 3-stage charging method is the fastest method and therefore the most
suitable method for Self-use.
When Stand-by is selected, the PowerRouter switches to Stand-by mode
during the night if the battery is discharged. In this mode the PowerRouter
consumes a minimum of energy.
This setting establishes how deep the battery may be discharged in Self-use
mode. This setting has an impact on the service life of the battery.
During the winter the battery spends more time in the discharged state
because there is less sunlight available and energy consumption in the house
is higher. Because this is damaging to the battery, the winter mode is provided
to protect the battery. During winter mode the battery is not used.
