Front Panel Controls

1. Input: This socket should be used for connecting your instrument to the amplifier. Only use a good quality screened
cable.
2. Shape: Adds
some serious high mid boost
when engaged. The switch has more effect at low Volume control settings. Use
in conjunction with the Mid Control for optimum performance.
3. Gain: This control is used to set the level of gain present in the pre-amp. The higher the level of gain, the more the signal
will clip producing pleasing distortion. The Gain Control should be used in conjunction with the Volume Control to produce
the desired signal characteristics.
4. Compresor: Engages and disengages the on-board compressor, this compresses the input-signal giving a punchier sound.
There is an LED indicating when the Compressor is active. The amount of compression is controlled by the Gain control.
The higher the setting the more compression. With most guitars compression will begin at about 5-6 on the control.
5. EQ Controls: Traditional set of passive tone controls. Passive controls have the advantage of always sounding musical at
any of their settings, due to their unique interactive nature. This gives the player a more natural set of tools to shape their
ideal sound. Set these midway at (0) as a good starting point.
6. Volume: Sets the overall listening level of the amplifier.
7. Aux In: A 3.5mm Stereo line input for connection of a CD or MP3 player as a backing track. Control the level of the input
using the volume control on your CD/MP3 player.
8. Phones: 3.5mm stereo jack socket for connecting headphones and when connected, the internal loudspeaker is
automatically switched off.
9. Power Switch: Mains power switch for the unit.
Power LED: This will illuminate when the power switch is operated, indicating the presence of mains power within the
5
amplifier.
