15 Storing
When transporting the power tool:
► Always transport the power tool in accordance with the
instructions found in this manual and the manual for the
KombiEngine/KombiMotor being used.
► When transporting the KombiTool by hand, hold the drive
tube so that the unit remains parallel to the ground. Keep
the blades pointing backwards, opposite the direction in
which you are walking.
► When transporting the KombiTool in a vehicle, secure and
position it to prevent turnover, impact and damage.
15 Storing
15.1 Storing the KombiTool
WARNING
Store the KombiTool indoors in a dry, secure place that is
inaccessible to children and other unauthorized users, @ 7.
Improper storage can result in unauthorized use and
damage to the KombiTool, @ 7.
When storing the KombiTool:
► Remove the KombiTool from the
KombiEngine/KombiMotor.
► Clean and inspect the KombiTool and its blades, @ 16.
► Store the KombiTool indoors in a dry and secure location,
out of the reach of children and other unauthorized
persons.

16 Cleaning
16.1 Cleaning the KombiTool
WARNING
To reduce the risk of personal injury from unintended
activation, remove the KombiTool before carrying out any
cleaning work, @ 7. Users of this KombiTool should carry
out only the cleaning described in this manual.
To clean the KombiTool:
► Clean polymer components with a slightly dampened
cloth. Do not use detergents or solvents, which may
damage the polymer components.
► Do not use a pressure washer to clean the unit or
otherwise spray it with water or other liquids.
NOTICE
Never spray the KombiTool with water. Spraying it with a
stream of water could result in damage.
16.2 Cleaning the Blades
WARNING
To reduce the risk of personal injury from unintended
activation, shut off the KombiEngine or switch off the
KombiMotor and remove the connecting cord before
carrying out any cleaning work, @ 7. Users of this
KombiTool should carry out only the cleaning described in
this manual. To help prevent injuries, always wear heavy-
duty work gloves when handling the KombiTool or its blades,
@ 6.3.
To clean the blades:
► Spray both sides of the blades with a resin solvent, such
as STIHL Resin Remover and Lubricant.
► Switch on the power tool for a few seconds to evenly
distribute the resin solvent throughout the blades.
