Water connection

The installation and connection instructions as well
as the directions for use for the water heater (boiler)
must be followed. For pressurised connections, a
certified membrane safety valve or a membrane
safety valve combination is required. For unpressu-
rised connections, a return valve, a stop valve as well
as service fittings for unpressurised connections are
required. Dry heating must be avoided!

putting into operation

The water container must be filled with water be-
fore the electricity is turned on. The first-time heat-
ing of the system must be monitored to make sure
that the thermostat cuts out when the temperature
setting is reached. For pressurised connections, the
expanded water produced in the interior boiler drips
out through the safety valve during the heating
process. For unpressurized connections, the water
drips from the overflow mixing tap.
Note: The automatic cut-out function of the thermo-
stat must be checked and that only original spare
parts can be used.

Directions for use

1. Depending on the lime content of the water and
the operating temperature, it may be necessary
to descale the heating elements regularly. We

recommend to install a water softening unit or
a temperature setback, as described in the fol-
lowing. Please note that damage to the heating
element caused by calcification invalidates the
guarantee.
2. The water temperature in the tank can be
adjusted using the temperature control. The
maximum temperature setting is about 75°C.
The minimum setting is about 9°C and thus also
serves as anti freeze function. The differential gap
amounts to about 10°C. When set to 75°C, the
temperature will drop to about 65°C, before the
heating function switches on again. To prevent
a rapid calcification of the heating element, we
recommend a temperature setting between 55
and 65°C. This corresponds to the position of
the temperature setting shown in the illustration
below.
3. If a defect occurs during operation, contact a
qualified electrician.
