Usage Guidelines
Centricon devices with Ultracel
■
membranes are approved for in-vitro diagnostic use.
Centricon devices with Ultracel YM-3 membranes are for
■
research use only; not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Do not autoclave Centricon components.
■
Do not operate above the following limits.

Centricon-3 devices
Centricon-10, -30, and -50 devices:
Centricon-100 devices
The ultrafiltration membranes in Centricon devices contain
■
trace amounts of glycerine (~2 µL per device). Prerinse if
necessary. Do not allow the membrane to dry out once wet.
Instructions for Use
After inserting sample reservoir into filtrate vial, add solution
to sample reservoir. Place covered device into centrifuge and
counterbalance with similar device. Spin until desired concentration
is achieved. To recover retentate, place retentate vial over sample
reservoir, invert unit, and centrifuge at 300–1000 × g for 2 minutes.
