Important advice
L Do not use liquid or pasty adhe-
sives.
L The glue reaches temperatures
of up to 200 degrees Celsius.
You could burn yourself!
L You could burn yourself! After skin
contact with hot glue: immediately
cool with cold water. Do not try to
remove hot-melt glue from the skin.
If necessary, seek medical attention.
After eye contact with hot-melt glue:
immediately cool for approx. 15 min.
with running water and consult a
doctor straight away.
L The area you are gluing must be
free of grease, dry and absolutely
clean.
L Trouble-free operation can only be
guaranteed when using original
STEINEL or Henkel glue sticks.
L Do not use in conjunction with
highly inflammable/combustible
materials.

L Glue marks on clothing cannot be
removed.
L Make sure heat-sensitive materials
are suitable for gluing with hot-melt
adhesive.
L Drips of glue are best removed
when cold.
L Do not pull glue sticks out of the
applicator. Hot glue running into the
applicator may cause damage.
L Optimum adhesion is achieved
when the bond is established in-
stantly on applying the glue.
L Unplug when not in use or during
prolonged work breaks (more than
30 min).
L Before inserting a new glue stick,
wait a moment for the cold cartridge
to heat up. Never force the glue
stick through the applicator.
L Always screw the nozzle tight after
replacing it (approx. 1 Nm).

Operating principle and handling
Insert glue stick into heating duct.
8
Plug in power cord or...
...let the applicator heat up in the
9
charging station for 3–5 min. The
indicator light comes on.
10
After no longer than 5 min, remove
the applicator from the charging sta-
tion in a forward movement. Do not
remove vertically.
11
Recharge by returning the applicator
to the charging station (e.g. if glue
feeding becomes sluggish or glue
becomes too viscous).
Glue application advice
16
–
Apply a generous amount of glue
16
when bonding large areas (e.g. wavy
lines).
17
Rigid foam can also be bonded with-
out a problem provided the glue is
applied to the substrate material and
not to the polystyrene (e.g. in dots).
Example applications
–
19
21
Making flower arrangements
19
Attaching shelf supports in cabinets
20
Fixing wooden dowels

In the charging station.
12
To apply glue – on one side – lightly
13
press the feed trigger. After applying
glue, firmly press items together. A
firm bond is produced after approx.
2 min.
To change nozzles, unscrew the
14
standard nozzle.
Fit the new nozzle, screw in and
15
tighten.
18
To bond fabric, for example, we rec-
18
ommend applying the glue in beads.
