pendulum action off.
– For hard materials, e. g. steel, work with low pen-
dulum action.
– For soft materials and when sawing in the direction
of the grain, work with maximum pendulum action.
The optimal setting can be determined by practical
testing.
Adjusting the Cutting Angle
(see figure
Release lever 11 and slide the base plate 8 toward
the front in the direction of the saw blade.
The base plate can be swivelled either to the left or
right by 45° max. Adjust the cutting angle with
scale 18. The cutting angle scale has presets at 0°,
15°, 30° and 45°.
To lock the base plate 8, tilt the lever for adjustment
of the base plate 11 back again.
Sliding Shoe for Base Plate
(see figure
When sawing materials that are easily scratched,
the sliding shoe 19 avoids scratching up sensitive
surfaces.
For mounting, insert the sliding shoe at the front of
the foot plate, lift at the rear and latch in.
Splinter Guard
(see figure
The splinter guard 20 prevents fraying of the surface
being sawn. The splinter guard can be inserted in
the base plate or in the sliding shoe.
Insert the splinter guard in the base plate 8 or in the
sliding shoe 19, and pay attention that the edges
engage into the guides. Afterwards, push the splin-
ter guard toward the rear to the stop.
The splinter guard is removed in reverse order.
The splinter guard cannot be used for certain saw
blade types (e. g., saw blades with set teeth).

Dust Cover/Extraction Adapter
The transparent cover guard 21 enables the collec-
tion of chips and sawdust. To achieve optimum
results, it must always be mounted when working
with dust extraction.
Attach the dust cover 21 to the contact protector 5
and insert the extraction adapter 22 into the base
plate 8.
Use the splinter guard 20 to enable optimal extrac-
tion.

Dust Extraction
The machine can be plugged directly into the recep-
tacle of a Würth all-purpose vacuum cleaner with
remote starting control. The vacuum cleaner starts
automatically when the machine is switched on.
The vacuum cleaner must be suitable for the material
to be worked.
When vacuuming dry dust that is especially detri-

mental to health or carcinogenic, use a special vac-
uum cleaner.
For external dust extraction with a vacuum cleaner,
an extraction adapter must be used as required (see
accessories). Insert extraction adapter and vacuum
connection firmly.
For tight curves it is best to use a narrow saw blade.
When sawing metal or similar materials, apply
coolant/lubricant alongside the cutting line.
Circle Cutter/Parallel Guide (Accessory –
see figures
With the combined circle cutter /parallel guide 23,
circular cutouts or parallel cuts in materials of up to
30 mm thickness can be made.
Dust/Chip Extraction (see
figure
G
The dust that is produced while working can be
detrimental to health, inflammable or explosive.
Suitable safety measures are required.
Examples: Some dusts are regarded as carcino-
genic. Use suitable dust /chip extraction and
wear a dust protection mask.
Dust from light alloys can burn or explode.
Always keep the workplace clean, as blends of
materials are particularly dangerous.
