Handling
Installation and operation

Unpack the filter cartridge and
place it together with the filter
foam as shown on the picture.
(attention: The green side of
the filter cartridge should face
towards the front of the filter.
The front of the foam grid
is marked with "Front" and
should point towards the front
of the filter).
The
outlet
of
the
filter
should be placed above the
water surface. The distance
between filter and the gravel
on the bottom of the aqua-
terrarium should be at least
2.5 cm (picture 2). If you have
placed plants or other objects
in the aqua-terrarium the
distance to the filter housing
should be at least 1,5 cm.

Care and Maintenance
Important: Unplug the unit from
the mains before carrying out
any maintenance activities.
Cleaning
For crystal clear water the
filter cartridge (ReptoFilter/
EasyCrystal
FilterPack
®
should be replaced every 2-4
the
weeks.
In order to change the Repto-
Filter/EasyCrystal
FilterPack
®
C cartridge (C) unplug the
power plug, simply replace the
cartridge and plug in the filter
®
again. That's it! (see picture 3
and 4)
ReptoFilter/EasyCrystal
Pack C replacement cartridges
are available at your local
retailer.
If you need to treat the aquarium
with
disease
remedies,
please use an EasyCrystal
FilterPack C cartridge without
activated carbon, as activated
carbon reduces the effect of
most remedies. These filter
cartridges are available at
your local retailer.
The ReptoFilter/EasyCrystal
Filter BioFoam (D) should be
cleaned occasionally, if it
becomes clogged. It should be
rinsed with water taken from
the aqua-terrarium, as tap
water will kill many of the
useful bacteria on the filter.
Do not use soap or cleaning
agents as their residues could
be harmful for the reptile.
Do not use sand in the
aquaterrarium
when
ReptoFilter is installed.
If the motor of the filter is very
noisy unplug the filter and take
it out of the aqua-terrarium.
Pull off the motor housing (F)
and remove the impeller.
(picture 5) Rinse out the pump
and clean the impeller. After
cleaning replace the impeller
and reassemble the motor
housing to the filter unit.
Install the filter in the aqua-
terrarium again and plug in the
C)
unit.
When adding tap water to the
aqua-terrarium you should add
Tetra
ReptoSafe
®
neutralize substances that are
harmful to reptile/fish such as
chlorine and heavy metals.
