AEROFINER II
AIR DRYER HEATING ELEMENTS
RN975 - RN976
Continuous Heating Element
With Protective Rubber Boot
Installation of a heating element in the AEROFINER II unit is
recommended for weather conditions below +32°F. A heating
element will keep the moisture in the Aerofiner II purge valve from
freezing, thus allowing proper valve operation.
Both continuous and thermostatically controlled heating elements
are offered for use with the AEROFINER II unit. The heating
elements are quickly and easily installed and available for both 12V
and 24V service. (See recommended installation instructions and
wiring diagrams on the next two pages.)

Note: The RN975 and RN976 heating elements are designed
for continuous heat. An on-off switch should be installed for
turning off the power when the heating element is not needed.
Install the heating element by threading the heater tube into
the "HEAT" port on the bottom of the AEROFINER II unit.
Slide the boot over the leads and push onto the heating
element. A lead wire* can then be attached, from the vehicle
electrical system to the red heater lead. The black lead must
be secured to a good vehicle ground.

* Lead wire and ground wire are not provided with the
heating element. It is suggested a minimum 18 AWG
Gauge stranded wire be used for durability in service.
