Testing
• Inspecting the continuity of the test channel.
– Let compressed air flow in: compressed air switch (5) at ON position (Figure B).
– If the continuity is ensured, move compressed air switch (5) to OFF position (Figure A).

• The other end of the test channel must be airtight, e.g. close off by hot gas welding or with clamping devices.
• Let compressed air flow in: compressed air switch (5) at ON position (Figure B).
– The manometer (4) must display the calculated compressed air value (bar / MPa) (Figure G).

• Compressed air switch (5) at OFF position (Figure A).
– The overlap weld seam is regarded as tight if the pressure drop during the test time is not more than 10 % of
the calculated initial value.
OFF

Fig. A
• After the test time has passed, the air channel sealed airtight at the opposite end is opened.
The air must escape abruptly.
• Remove compressed air tester with test needle
Finishing
• After finishing the test work, the compressed air switch (5) must be moved to OFF so that the connected
compressed air can be released at the compressed air connection (6) (Figure A / H).
