8. Maintenance

Drips and minor leaks are unavoidable with urea
solution. These lead to sticky crystallized white
urea deposits. The equipment, and especially
the delivery nozzle, should therefore be cleaned
as needed with lukewarm water. For this reason,
drinking water should not be kept in the contain-
er as it will not meet purity requirements.
Only demineralised water may be used to clean
the inside of the container.
Regular maintenance of the pump is not neces-
sary as long as the following are observed:
- If the system is exposed to temperatures below
-7 °C for extended periods of time, the pump
should be emptied to prevent frost damage.
- If the system was operational and is then not
to be used for some time, the system must be
washed out with demineralised water.
The container and hoses should be visually
inspected for damage and leaks on a regular
basis, at least monthly. Defective parts must be
replaced.

10. Troubleshooting

Solution
- Check that the terminal clamps are correctly attached and that there is
sufficient battery power. Minimum 90 % of nominal voltage
- Check for frozen liquid in the pump housing. If necessary, thaw slowly.
- Check the blade fuse in the black junction box on the pump
- Check to see if the suction hose or delivery hose is kinked
- Check for crusting on the delivery nozzle and if applicable,
sit it in lukewarm water for a while
- Check that the polarity of the power supply is correct.
- Locate any leaks and restore seal
- Container is empty. Fill the container.
- Tighten hose clamp with a screwdriver
- Cut off the leaking section of the delivery hose or replace it completely.
- Check for crusting on the delivery nozzle and if necessary,
sit it in lukewarm water for a while
- Ensure delivery spout is inserted all the way into the tank connection
- Adjust position of delivery spout in tank connection
- Squeeze the operating lever only partway, reducing the flow

instructions, and all applicable regulations, are

Modification of the equipment by the customer
without consultation with the manufacturer invali-
dates any claims under the statutory warranty.
