Special safety instructions
Caution: Follow this manual and adhere to all
safety instructions, otherwise the protective
eff ect of the ear protectors may be reduced.
This product may be damaged by certain
chemical substances.
The ear protectors, and the pads in particular,
may deteriorate with use and so should
regularly be checked for tear and leaks.
If the ear protectors are damaged or
worn, they will not provide the expected
protection, and they must therefore not be
used any longer. Replace or repair the ear
protectors.
Check the ear protectors thoroughly for wear
and tear before each use.
Placing hygienic covers over the pads
may aff ect the acoustic function of the ear
protectors.
Check that the ear protectors are correctly
positioned regularly during use in order
to ensure they are providing the optimum
protection.
The use of ear protectors with or without the
entertainment function may make it harder
to hear warning signals in the workplace.
Never use in traffi c.
The ear protectors must not be exposed to
direct sunlight for prolonged periods, as this
may deform them.
Take care of your hearing: do not listen to the
radio at high volume.
There may be interference if the ear
protectors are used in the proximity of
electrical equipment, such as � uorescent
lights or televisions.
Ear muff s complying with EN 352-1 are of
medium size range or small size range or
large size range.
Medium size range ear-muff will � t the
majority of wearers, small size range or large
size range ear-muff s are designed to � t
wearers for whom medium size range ear-
muff s are not suitable.
Because of the radio receiver, the ear
protectors must not be used in damp
surroundings or in very high ambient
temperatures and never at temperatures
above 55 °C.
Incorrectly installed batteries can damage
the circuitry. Never replace batteries with the
unit switched on. Ensure that the battery is
positioned correctly before using.
Warning: If the users do not follow these
recommendations, attenuation and other
functions will be severely impaired.The
output of the electrical audio circuit of this
headband earmuff may exceed the daily limit
sound level.
Check and replace batteries if necessary.
The audibility of warning signals at speci� c
workplaces may be impaired while using the
enterainment facility.
Using the ear protectors
Set the headband to the maximum "open"
position. Place the earmuff s over the ears
and the headband over the head.
