1. THEORY OF OPERATION
A. OPERATING FEATURES
Your Kohler Power Lite toilet is a one-piece toilet that flushes
completely and efficiently using only 1.6 (6L) or 1.1 (4.2L)
gallons of water per flush (gpf) for plug-in models. Models
installed with conduit use 1.6 (6L) gpf.
The Power Lite operating system uses an electric,
motorized pump to create a thorough flush.
Plug-in models feature the Twin-Touch trip button in
combination with the Power Lite flush system allowing for
either 1.6 (6L) or 1.1 (4.2L) gpf. This saves approximately .5
gallons (2L) of water during the short flush (1.1 gpf)(4.2L)
when removing liquid waste and/or small amounts of toilet
paper. The long flush (1.6 gpf)(6L) is used for normal heavy
waste removal. Models installed with conduit use 1.6 gpf
(6L).
B. COMPONENT GROUPS
The Kohler Power Lite Operating System consists of four
basic component groups.
S
The vitreous china bowl and tank, which directs the
flushing water flow and houses the Power Lite
system.
S
The pump, which houses the motor, electronic
controls, and impeller for flushing 1.6 (6L) or 1.1
(4.2L) gpf.

S
The fill valve, which refills the tank to the correct
water line and sends water to the bowl to establish
proper trap seal depth after each flush.
S
The Twin-Touch flush trip button, which determines
how much water is flushed through the bowl (1.6
(6L) or 1.1 (4.2L) gpf).
