VOLTAGE FUNCTION TEST
Implementation:
Check the operation of the device on a known voltage value: on
a 9 V battery for instance and for a voltage network that is
known.
Result:
The expected value must be read on the display.
If the self-test is incorrect, change the battery or proced with
repairs.
4. VOLTAGE MEASUREMENT AUTO AC/DC, POLARITY
Always run a self-test before using your multimeter.
Never use it if the self-test is incorrect.
Implementation:
Place the two test probes on the circuit to be tested.
Voltage measurement:
The presence of a voltage in excess of 1 V AC or DC on the
circuit ensures the automatic lighting of the display and the back-
lighting as well as the emission of an audible signal by the
buzzer for each change of ranges.
Characteristics and field of use:
• Voltage detection: 1 V < U < 690 V between phases (600 V with
respect to ground)
• Frequency: DC, 50...60 Hz
• High impedance does not switch the differential circuit breaker.
• Max. current at 690 V: Is ≤ 3.5mA peak
Automatic implentation for a voltage between phases in excess
of 1 V.
Automatic recognition of DC and and AC for a voltage between
terminals in excess of 1 V.
Automatic selection of the range.
Hold function: freezes the display.
Immediate auto shut-off, on after 10 seconds in HOLD function,
once the measurement has been disconnected
NB 1: The HOLD function does not cancel the auto-off.
NB 2: Press the auto ON/OFF key to manually push manually
switch ON

General information:
Only the values assigned with tolerances or the announced limits are
representative of guaranteed limits. Values without a tolerance are
for information only.
Characteristics:
Typical accuracy is ± [% of the reading (L) + number of
representation units (digits or D)] under the reference conditions (see
Appendix).
