PRECAUTIONS
Before connecting the appliance, make sure that it is a
220-230 V, 50/60 Hz socket with earth connection. It
is also necessary that it is adequately protected with a
thermal switch. Consult your installer.
Do not allow children or unqualified personnel to han-
dle or come near the appliance when it is operating.
Place the appliance on a rigid and flat surface so that
there is no risk of tipping over.
Make sure the vent windows are clear. The nearest
wall or object must be at least 15 cm away.
Disconnect the appliance from the mains before clean-
ing.
Unplug the device from the electrical outlet when not
in use.
Do not operate the device if the power cord or steam
hose is damaged. Call your authorized dealer for re-
placement of any damaged parts.
The upper part of the appliance can become very hot
during use.
The temperatures of the metal part of the steam gun
will be quite high, avoid any contact.
The device has the ability to generate high-tempera-
ture continuous steam of large volumes. Avoid close
contact with the steam and do not point the steam di-
rectly at the face.
Point the gun and therefore the steam jet only in the
direction of the job you are performing. Do not point
the gun in any other direction.
Handle the appliance with great care. It can be dam-
aged due to a falling impact.
Do not immerse the device in water or other liquids.
Do not fill the boiler with any substance other than dis-
tilled water.
Do not exceed the maximum water level.
Before filling or emptying the water tank, unplug the
device from the power outlet and turn off the boiler
switch.
For your safety, do not open the cap before the pres-
sure in the device drops to zero. To fill, follow the ins-
tructions in the instruction manual.
Open the cap of the appliance carefully. The sudden
release of the water vapor accumulated in the tank
could cause burns.
Do not overtighten the tank cap.
If the cap is damaged, contact an authorized dealer and
replace it.
Do not leave the device in operational status if the "No
Water " lamp is on during operation.
Do not try to repair the appliance yourself. Do not dis-
assemble it. For repair, take your device only to au-
thorized dealers.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
To ensure optimum reliability and a long life for the ap-
pliance, we recommend the following tips:
It is necessary to periodically descale the appliance:
- Open the cap.
- Fill the water tank, shake and empty.
- Repeat the operation as many times as necessary.
- Refill the boiler with distilled water.
It is advisable to wash the appliance tank once a
month, proceeding as follows:
- Disconnect the appliance from the mains.
- Open the cap of the appliance slowly so as to allow
any residual steam to escape.
- Put ½ liter of water in the tank using the funnel sup-
plied.
- Let the water act for a few minutes.
- Empty the water by overturning the container.
- Repeat the operation if necessary.
Some calcium deposits may stick to the steam mani-
fold. Remove them by blowing compressed air to re-
lease the injector line.
In the event of a fault or breakage of the appliance, do
not intervene directly: contact your MESTRA dealer
