14. Motor pod
Use Zacki ELAPOR
®
to glue the two foam halves of the motor pod

and then glue the bulkhead
15. Assembling the motor
Fix the motor to the bulkhead using the four screws provided.
Lay the motor cable through the appropriate grommet in the motor pod
and contact the three black controller cables to the motor. Lay the motor
cable through the guide to the front and glue one small magnet holder
into the recess above the cable. Fig. 17
16. Assembling the propeller
Use the supplied pins to fix the propeller blades in the propeller driver. The
lettering/imprint on the blades must face toward the motor.
Use the two M3 grub screws to assemble the driver on the motor shaft.
Leave an air gap (approx. 3 mm) between the driver and the motor to
ensure sufficient cooling of the motor. Tighten both screws evenly. Use the
M2x6mm countersunk head screw to assemble the spinner cap. Fig. 18
17. Assembling the receiver
For the receiver, glue a strip of hook and loop tape (hook side)
to the corresponding position in the fuselage.
Tip: To achieve a better bond, it makes sense to apply a little UHU Por to
the Elapor surface prior to gluing and to allow it to flash off sufficiently.
Glue the opposite side (velour) to the receiver.
18. Rudder deflections and settings
To achieve a balanced control, the size of the
rudder deflections must be set correctly:
The elevator upward (joystick pulled back) 10 mm and downward (joystick
pushed forward) 8 mm.
Set the aileron deflections +/- 8/11 mm (negative differentiation).
19. Center of gravity
In order to achieve stable flight characteristics, your Funwing, just
like any other aircraft, must be in equilibrium at a certain position.
Assemble your model, making sure it is ready to fly, and insert the drive
battery.
There are half-spherical markings on the underside of the wing.
Using your fingers as support, pivot the model horizontally.
Corrections can be carried out by moving the drive battery. If the right
position has been found, mark the battery box accordingly to ensure the
battery is always in the same position.
