WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS
• TO AVOID FIRE, SHOCK, OR DEATH: TURN OFF POWER at circuit breaker or fuse and test that power is off before wiring!
• To be installed and/or used in accordance with electrical codes and regulations.
DESCRIPTION
The PST24-R41 is a Power Supply capable of providing both high current Class 2 power and specific current limited power on RJ-45's for LumaCAN networks. This power supply is
used to provide power to Class 2 low voltage powered devices requiring +24VDC power. The maximum output of the Power Supply is 4.1A across all four ports. The terminals support
full power output and each of the (3) pairs of RJ-45's for LumaCAN are limited to 1.5A. Each pair of RJ-45's for LumaCAN has an input and an output connector where the data passes
between the two. Power is applied only to the output connector. The PST24-R41 is powered via a constant, hard wired 100-240VAC, 50/60Hz line voltage input. The unit is 1/2 U size and
comes with brackets to mount into a 19 in. rack. Two PST24-R41, or one PST24-R41 and one NPRPT-006 6-port LumaCAN repeater can be mounted side-by-side in a 19 in. rack taking
up a single 1 U space. The PST24-R41 can be used to provide additional power to LumaCAN network runs that require additional current due to run length or number of devices on the
run. It is also capable of providing power to other low voltage devices such as occupancy sensors, photocells, and low voltage switches, etc.
SPECIFICATIONS
• Input: 100-240VAC 50/60HZ, 1.9A Max
• Max Output: Regulated +24VDC, 4.1A, 100W
• Output: Over-Current or short-circuit, automatic recovery, voltage
reduction for over-current.
• (4) Output Ports, Max Output rating of 4.1A (100W) cannot be
exceeded. Max per port is 1.5A (36W). Calculate max as sum of
output on each port:
- Port T, +24V/Com Terminals: 100W, 4A
- Port A: LumaCAN, RJ-45, 1.5A
- Port B: LumaCAN, RJ-45, 1.5A
- Port C: LumaCAN, RJ-45, 1.5A
NOTE: RJ-45 are for LumaCAN only using Category 6 wiring.
Data passed through from IN to OUTPUT of each port. Power is
blocked on Input and added to Output connector.
COMPLIANCE
• CE (European EMC & Safety)
• FCC CFR 47, Class A (US EMC)
• ICES-003, 8/2012 (Canada EMC)
• ETL (US & Canada Safety)
ENVIRONMENTAL
• Ambient Operating Temperature Range: 32-104°F, 0-40°C
- Full 100W output guaranteed through entire operating temperature range.
• Storage Temperature: -13-185°F (-25-85°C)
• Operating Humidity: 0-90% non-condensing
• MTBF: >100,000 hours
INSTALLATION
1. Ensure all devices on LumaCAN networks are powered-off and disconnected.
2. Connect line voltage power to power input terminals.
3. Connect Input and Output LumaCAN runs for each of the output ports: T, A, B & C.
a) The run to which power should be added is connected to the output RJ-45.
b) The run which is data only is connected to the input RJ-45.
Use with 6-Port LumaCAN Repeater (NPRPT-6)
Unique but ideal application for the power supply is to use it in tandem with a
LumaCAN repeater.
• Creates multiple home runs, up to 1.5A on each run.
• Installed into a 19" EIA equipment rack (Leviton Cat No. EIA00-S01)
• The two devices can be screwed together using supplied screws with each unit.
To attach two devices:
- Remove covers
- Use supplied screws to internally connect to each other
- Reattach covers
- Short rack ear from each unit will get attached to side of each enclosure to
mount it to the rack.
