1. Introduction
The unit offers excellent thermal stability and homogeneity thanks to continuous forced ventilation and electronic
temperature control.
The cooled incubator is designed to run at a constant temperature of 20 °C.
The internal temperature is measured by the internal probe and it is shown on the display.
The unit is equipped with two internal sockets, controlled by a switch on the frontal panel, to power instruments placed
inside the incubator.
In accordance with current regulations, VELP incubators are CFC-free (free from chloro fluoro carbons).
2. Installation
•
Unpacking
➢ Check the integrity of the unit after unpacking
•
The box includes
➢ FTC 120 Cooled Incubator
➢ Instruction manual
➢ Power supply cable
•
Installation
➢ Make sure that the technical specification of the unit and the power supply line are the same
➢ Connect the instrument to an easily accessible socket (compliant with the current safety norms), using only the
provided power supply cable
NOTE: do not install the equipment near sources of heat (ovens, etc.). The unit should be installed in a well-ventilated area,
avoid niches or small rooms. To ensure good air circulation within the unit, do not place objects against the inside back
panel.
NOTE: if the instrument has been transported or stored horizontally, leave it in the upright position for at least 24 hours
before switching it on. This will allow the cooling circuit to settle. If this procedure is not carried out, the refrigerating system
could be damaged. This damage is not covered by warranty.
3. Operation
Turn the unit on using the main switch on the frontal panel.
Automatically, the unit starts the thermoregulation to achieve and maintain a constant temperature of 20 °C.
The internal temperature is measured by the internal probe and it is shown on the display.
Use the dedicated switch on the frontal panel to control the internal sockets.
Error messages
When the display shows an error message, the instrument's functions are stopped automatically.
To remove the error message, restart the instrument.
If the alarm persists on the display, please contact VELP Scientifica's technical service department.
