1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

RISK AWARENESS:
The use of the Sportstech product and its components can be dangerous and may cause injury or
even the death of the user or third parties. By using the Sportstech product you accept all known
and unknown, probable and unlikely injury risks. The risks associated with practicing this sport can be
reduced by observing the warnings and instructions in this manual and taking all due care.
WARNING: FAILURE TO OBSERVE THE SAFETY RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS IN THE GUIDE OR
THE PRODUCT MANUAL MAY RESULT IN INJURY OR IN EXTREME CASES DEATH.
THEREFORE, READ THE MANUAL CAREFULLY AND, IF NECESSARY, CLARIFY ANY OPEN
QUESTIONS WITH A LICENSED SUP TRAINER BEFORE USE.
• Always check the weather forecast before using the SUP board. Never use the product during thunderstorms or
lightning in the sky.
• Always wear appropriate protective clothing and a life jacket.
• Make sure that the protective clothing is appropriate for the prevailing conditions: for example, use a wetsuit or a
UV-repellent top.
• Cold outdoor and water temperatures can cause hypothermia. Always carry an identity document with you in case of
emergency.
• Wear a helmet if necessary or appropriate.
• Do not exceed the maximum user weight of 120 kg.
• The SUP board is designed exclusively for use on shallow waters, such as lakes, rivers or the seashore, while stan-
ding or sitting. Use in high waves or for surfing is exclusively discouraged.
• Watch out for offshore winds or currents: These can quickly pull you out onto open water.
• Before each use, check your equipment for possible faults or signs of use. Do not use the SUP board if you notice
heavy wear, a leak or other defects.
• Attach the supplied safety line to your foot as well as the SUP board each time you use it.
• Prior to your tour, tell a person your planned paddling route, place and time of departure, and planned place and
time of arrival. Paddling alone is hereby expressly not recommended.
• Be considerate of other water sports enthusiasts and users, especially swimmers and children.
• Ensure that you are in control of the SUP board and paddle at all times.
• Check the maximum load capacity of the board and adhere to it.
• Do not inflate with a compressor.
• Never attempt stand-up paddling surfing in bad weather or heavy seas when steering or returning to the shore.
• Never jump head-first off the board into the water
• Be wary of riffs and currents and do not ride in rapids
• The paddleboard must not be attached to a boat and pulled
• Never let minors use the board without supervision
