Installation and regulation
of power tool elements
Before carrying out any works on the power tool it
must be disconnected from the mains.
Mounting / dismounting / setting-up of
some elements is the same for all power
tool models, in this case specific models
are not indicated in the illustration.
Removal / installation of protective casing (see
fig.1)
[HLP20-600 K]
• Turn protective casing 2 and remove it as shown on
fig. 1 (this may be necessary for performing works in
confined spaces).
• While installing protective casing 2 match the raised
elements inside the casing with the slots in housing 3,
put the casing on and turn as shown on fig. 1.
Using special nozzles (see fig. 2)
Put a special nozzle on nozzle 1 and turn, it if neces-
sary, to adjust it to a position more suitable for work
(see fig. 2). Notice that a special nozzle must be put on
evenly so that it will not fall off during operation
Initial operating
of the power tool
Always use the correct supply voltage: the power
supply voltage must match the information quoted on
the power tool identification plate.
Switching the power
tool on / off
[HLP16-500]
Switching on:
Move on / off switch 5 in position "1" or "2"
Switching off:
Move on / off switch 5 in position "0"
[HLP20-600 K]
Switching on:
Move on / off switch 5 in position "1", "2" or "3"
Switching off:
Move on / off switch 5 in position "0"
Air flow adjustment
[HLP20-600 K]
The air flow may be adjusted stepwise using on / off
switch 5 Move it in position "1", "2" or "3" to set the
desired air flow (values are specified in the technical
data sheet)
Temperature adjustment
[HLP20-600 K]
The air flow temperature can be smoothly changed
with regulator 6 (only if on / off switch 5 is placed in po-
sitions "2" or "3") Rotate regulator 6 to set the desired
temperature (also see the marking on regulator 6 - it
should be read through sight hole 7)
Cool air blowing
[HLP20-600 K]
If on / off switch 5 is placed in position "1", the heating
element is not activated, and only the fan is running
This mode is intended for cooling the power tool after
operation, and it also can be used for cooling, blowing
and drying
Possibility of steady-state use (see fig. 5.1)
The power tool design allows steady-state operation
Switch the power tool on, set the desired temperature
(only for HLP20-600 K model) and then put it in a
vertical position with the nozzle up (see fig. 5.1). Note:
before vertical installation of HLP16-500 model,
please put bracket 13 parallel to body 3.
Protection against overheating
[HLP16-500]
The power tool is equipped with a complex protection
against overheating which prevents damage to the
power tool when normal operating temperature is
exceeded
on the power tool operation
