INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 2
Remove Union Nuts (1) and Rubber Gaskets (2) from the valve body (3). Place
valve body in desired location, making sure valve body is supported to hold its weight. Insure
that valve is positioned as indicated — "This Side Up" — with proper flow direction as shown
by arrow symbol on valve body.
STEP 3
Wipe away all loose dirt & moisture from the pipes & components with a clean
dry cloth. Slide Union Nuts (1) over pipe ends, being sure that the Union Nut threads will be
facing the Valve body.
STEP 4
Place Rubber Gasket over pipe end .
Tip: moisten pipe with clean water to aid assembly.
DO NOT use lubricants.
STEP 5
Join pipe and gasket to valve body by firmly inserting both into socket. Slide
Union Nut over gasket to engage threads. Hand tighten only.
WARNING: DO NOT USE ANY PIPE DOPE, SEALANTS OR LUBRICANTS.
SOME PIPE JOINT COMPOUNDS, TEFLON PASTES OR OTHER LUBRICANTS

VEGETABLE OIL— MAY CONTAIN SUBSTANCES THAT COULD
CAUSE STRESS CRACKING TO PLASTIC.
