FUNCTION
Pressure sensor CPS-D-A has an integrated
differential pressure element that is temperature
compensated for high accuracy and linearity. The
pressure element and the output signal has high
resolution which means that the pressure value
is presented in increments of max 1 Pa over the
entire measurement range (-100 till +3500 Pa).
Via a backlit display, the desired function is set;
differential pressure sensor, volume / flow sensor
or pressure regulator. The output signal (0-10V
or 4-20 mA), K factor for volume flow calculation,
measrurement range / set point and required
signal damping are also set via the display. Zero
calibration of the pressure element is also carried
out via the display. Basic display mode shows the
current measured value (pressure or volume /
flow), current output in volts or milliamps and set
point at regulator function.
MOUNTING
CPS-D-A is wall-mounted with the hose connec-
tors pointing downwards. See figure 2. Install the
CPS-D-A on a level surface. The terminal block
and enclosure cable port (with a pre-mounted
M16 cable gland) are removable for easier insta-
llation. See figure 1. The enclosure cover is hin-
ged at the top, has a snap fastener at the bottom
and catches to keep the cover in raised position.
INSTALLATION
Open the cover on the CPS-D-A to access the
programming buttons on the display card. Press
ENT (Enter) to access the settings menu and use
the up and down arrows to navigate the subme-
nus. Select your submenu and confirm by pres-
sing ENT.
CPS-D-A comes factory set for differential pres-
sure measurement of ranges 0-500 Pa, 0-10V
output signal and signal damping 10 sec. To
change ranges, go to the Range submenu and
set the desired start and max. values. You can
adjust these values using the arrow keys in incre-
ments of 50 Pa, from 100 Pa to 3500 Pa.
Via the K factor settings, CPS-D-A can measure
the volume / flow over, e.g., fans or orifice plates.
Select Volume from the Function menu. Here you can
set the k factor and volume unit.
The selectable conversion formulas from differential
pressure to volume are: q=Kx√∆p (default), 1/Kx√Δp,
√Δp/K and Kx√(2/ρ)x√Δp. [ρ =1.2].

K factor can be rounded up to two decimal places. The
following units can also be set: m³/h, m³/s or l/s. The
unit setting is only a "display label" and not a mathe-
matical calculation of the value. To select ranges, go
to the Range submenu and set the desired start and
max. values. These values are adjusted optionally
with arrow buttons 0-32000, in increments of 100 up to
3500 and in increments of 500 above.
Example: K factor: 100.00 and Differential Pressure:
500 Pa. The root of 500 = 22.36 multiplied by 100.00 =
2236. The volume flow is 2236. The volume unit of the
calculation (m³/h, m³/second or liters/second) is speci-
fied by the manufacturer of the fan/orifice plate.
The measurement range determines at which mea-
sured value the output signal will start and when the
maximum output signal will be given. If the current
measurement is above the set range, the display flas-
hes and shows "> Range" under the measurement
value. For differential pressure measurement, a range
starting with negative numbers can be set (-50 or
-100 Pa). If the current measurement is under the set
range, the display flashes and shows "< Range" under
the measurement value.
Output signal damping (averaging) is adjustable at
3 levels: 3, 10 and 20 seconds. To adjust, select the
Damping submenu from the Settings menu.
For pressure regulation, select "Regulator" in the
"Function" menu. The set point is adjustable from
0-3000Pa. To avoid overthrow, adjust the regulation
speed (1-10) in the "Reg.speed" submenu, where 10
is the fastest regulation speed. The regulator output is
0-10V DC. Adjust the minimum and maximum output
(0-100%) in the "Out range" submenu.
Hose connections:
There are two hose connections marked plus (+) and
minus (-) on the outside of the enclosure. Connect the
positive pressure hose to plus (+) and the negative
pressure hose to minus (-). See figure 2.
Electrical installation:
Connect the CPS-D-A with a three-wire connection
with common signal and supply ground. See figure. 3.
Test function:
When the display is in basic display mode, the sensor
emits max. and min. output (0/10V or 4/20 mA) when
you press the up button (↑) or down button (↓). The
current output signal (0-10V or 4-20 mA) is shown
next to the text "Out:" in the display.
ZERO PRESSURE CALIBRATION
When commissioning, a zero pressure calibration is
recommended. Allow the pressure sensor to reach
its operating temperature before the zero calibration.
Remove all external hoses and select the "0-Calibr"
submenu from the Settings menu. When the calibra-
tion is completed it will show on the display.
MAINTENANCE
CPS-D-A is normally maintenance free. Use zero
pressure calibration when necessary.

FUNKTION
Der Drucksensor CPS-D-A verfügt über ein ein-
gebautes Differenzdruckelement, das für eine
hohe Genauigkeit und Linearität temperaturkom-
pensiert ist. Das Differenzdruckelement und das
Ausgangssignal haben eine hohe Auflösung, was
bedeutet, dass der Druckwert in Schritten von
max. 1 Pa über den gesamten Messbereich (-100
bis +3500 Pa) präsentiert wird.
Über ein beleuchtetes Display wird die gewünsch-
te Funktion eingestellt; Differenzdrucksensor,
Volumen- / Durchfluss-sensor oder Druckregler.
Das Ausgangssignal (0-10V oder 4-20 mA),
K-Faktor
