Getting Started: Two Button Mouse
1.
Connect compatible USB Type A mouse to USB Type A
port on Sidekick
2.
Press and hold the power button on Sidekick for
approximately 3-seconds. LED light will turn on.
3.
Connect Lightning connector from Sidekick to iPad or
iPhone.
4.
Right click your mouse two times. Once the circle
AssistiveTouch Pointer cursor appears on iPad or
iPhone, you are ready to use your mouse.
Two Button Mouse Functions

Left mouse click will select items.
•
Right mouse click will activate the AssistiveTouch
menu. The AssistiveTouch menu gives you the ability
to exit an app, activate gestures, and access system
commands like volume and Siri.
•
Left mouse click and hold to swipe or drag items on
the screen.

Getting Started: One Button Mouse
1.
Connect compatible USB Type A mouse to USB Type A
port on Sidekick
2.
Press and hold the power button on Sidekick for
approximately 3-seconds. LED light will turn on.
3.
Connect Lightning connector from Sidekick to iPad or
iPhone.
4.
Go to Settings App > General > Accessibility >
AssistiveTouch > and turn on Always Show Menu. The
AssistiveTouch menu will appear on the screen (small
square with dot). The AssistiveTouch menu can be
moved around the screen as needed.
One Button Mouse Functions

Charging
• Use your existing Apple 10W or 12W wall adapter and
Lightning connector cable to charge Sidekick.
• If Sidekick is connected to an iPad or iPhone while
charging, both Sidekick and the iPad or iPhone will
charge.
Special Use Notes
• If AssistiveTouch or Switch Control are turned on
on iPad or iPhone, turn them off before connecting
Sidekick.
• Turn Sidekick off before disconnecting from iPad or
iPhone.
• If you have disconnected Sidekick and are unable to
turn AssistiveTouch off on iPad or iPhone, turn Sidekick
on and re-connect to iPad or iPhone. While Sidekick is
connected, turn AssistiveTouch off.
