Welding Geberit PE and
Geberit Silent-db20 pipes and
fittings
WARNING
Risk of injury from burns
Do not touch the welding plate during
operation or during the cooling-down
phase.
Insert the welding plate into the provided
stand during breaks in work.

Connect the mains plug to the power supply
system.
Geberit welding plate KSS-160/KSS-200:
the red signal lamp lights up during the heat-
up phase. Once the welding temperature
has been reached (after approx. 8 minutes),
the green signal lamp lights up.

Geberit welding plate KSS-315:
the heat-up phase is monitored by the built-
in temperature regulator. The welding
temperature is reached after approx.
20 minutes of heating.

Cut the pipes or fittings to length at a right
angle.

Heating the pipes or fittings:
• ø 32 mm only possible by manual
actuation
• ø 40–75 mm possible by manual actuation
or with the welding machine
• ø 90–315 mm only possible with the
welding machine

Heat pipes or fittings by pressing the side to
be welded against the welding plate with the
required contact pressure.
Connecting the pipes or fittings:
• ø 32 mm only possible on the jointing
guide
• ø 40–75 mm possible on the jointing guide
or with the welding machine
• ø 90–315 mm only possible with the
welding machine

To achieve a high-tensile joint between
pipes and fittings, apply even pressure to
bond the pipes or fittings together.
