PSN130S
30 V DC power supply unit (without AS-i data decoupling)
Operating Instructions
Danger
!
Hazardous voltage.
Will cause death or serious injury.
Turn off and lock out all power supplying this device before working
on this device.
Reliable functioning of the equipment is only ensured with certified components.
Notes
Warning
!
When using electrical devices, some of their parts are inevitably
energized. For this reason, incorrect use might lead to death or
serious injuries as well as to considerable property damage.
Only qualified personnel is authorized to carry out work on the
device or in its vicinity. Appropriate transport, professional
storage, set-up and mounting are important to ensure proper and
safe functioning of the device.
Death, serious injuries or considerable property damage
might be the consequence if the warnings are not observed!
Function
The PSN130S power supplies serve, together with an additionally required AS-i
data decoupling unit, to ensure operation of AS-Interface systems.
The devices generate a stabilized direct voltage of 30 V DC (safety extra-low
voltage PELV/SELV) of a high constancy and low residual ripple. The output
voltage is floating, and resistant to short-circuits and no-load operation. After a
short-circuit or an overload, the devices start up automatically again. The power
supplies are built-in units with IP20 degree of protection, safety class I. They are
primary switched-mode power supplies for connection to a 1-phase AC system
(TN, TT system in compliance with VDE 0100 T 300 / IEC 364-3) with a rated
voltage of 120/230 V AC, 50/60 Hz.
When an output voltage > 26.5 V DC is present, the green LED (30 V O.K.)
lights up and the signaling contact 13-14 is closed.
Mounting / Assembly / Connection
The units are fitted by snap-on mounting on a horizontal standard mounting rail
(DIN EN 60715-TH35-15/7.5). The device must be mounted in such a way that
the input and output terminals are at the bottom. A clearance of at least 50 mm
must be maintained above and below the device (max. cable channel depth
50 mm).
Before installation or maintenance work can begin, the system's main switch
must be switched off and measures taken to prevent it being switched on again.
If this instruction is not observed, touching live parts can result in death or
serious injury.
Important note: A miniature circuit breaker or a circuit breaker must be fitted on
the line side. The primary-side supply voltage (120/230 V AC) must be
connected in accordance with IEC 60364 and EN 50178.
Screw terminals are used to connect it. The secondary-side output terminals are
in duplicate. The plus terminals +, + or the minus terminals are each internally
jumpered and are equivalent.
