machine is found to be faulty, have it examined by an
approved Perles repairer.
x Ensure that all accessories including chuck keys are
kept well clear of the work area and do not hamper
your freedom of movement.
x Ensure that accessories are compatible with the
maximum rotary speed of the drill and are intended to
be used with power drills.
x Always use goggles, sturdy gloves and safety
footwear.
x Always check before drilling for concealed electrical
cables and pipes.
x Power tools should not be used by children under the
age of sixteen. Inexperienced
supervised and given instruction on the safe handling
of machines.
x If the power tool does not seem powerful enough for
an application, do not force it. There may be a
technical problem and continuing may
irreparable damage.
x Should the tool not be functioning correctly, it should
be inspected
by a Perles approved service agent.
Please explain the problem to the repairer, particularly
if it is an intermittent problem.
x Use only original spares and accessories.
USE
To start the power tool

The power tool is started and stopped as follows :

Speed control
Control the speed steeples from zero to maximum by
putting less or more pressure on the trigger.
To adjust the speed

The speed is set by changing the position of the wheel C
into the trigger A. Position E= Maximum speed.
To reverse the direction of rotation
Set the reversing lever D with your index finger. The
reversing switch can only be activated when the main
switch is in the off position. An interlock in the trigger
prevents reversing when switched on.
Any attempt to reverse the direction of rotation while the
power tool is operating is likely to damage the complete
switch irreparably.

Hammer Selection
Hammer mode is selected by switching the selector F to
the symbol corresponding to the user's choice
All changes to the selection must be carried out after the
power tool has completely stopped.
The Percussion drill has to be set on right hand rotation
when percussion drilling.

Mounting of accessories in chuck
Three-jaw chuck

Use all three holes.
Insert the accessory as deep as possible in the chuck.
Do not use accessories with a damaged shank.
Keyless chuck

Hold locking ring G in one hand while you with other
hand:

open

counterclockwise

insert accessory

close the chuck by turning sleeve H clock wise

firmly tighten sleeve H to ensure accessory is firmly
in place
Chuck replacement
The chuck must be opened completely.
Hold spindle of the drill in place using a 15 mm open-
ended spanner, slipped behind the chuck.
Unscrew the locking screw at the bottom of the chuck
using a 4 mm hexagonal spanner.

Turn clockwise to unscrew.
3Jaw chuck:
Place the chuck key in one of the 3

bores. Then tap the key using a mallet (wood. nylon, or
any other soft material) to unlock the chuck .The chuck
can be unscrewed by hand.
Keyless chuck: Lock a hexagon spanner (min. 6 mm) in
the chuck and clamp the free end in advice. Position
open -end spanner on key face of drill spindle and loosen
chuck in an anti-clockwise direction. The chuck can be
unscrewed by hand.
The chuck is assembled in reverse sequence.

HINTS FOR USE

Use only correctly sharpened drill bits which are suitable
for the material being drilled.
To drill hard materials, firm pressure is required on the
power tool. However, excessive pressure does not
improve performance and places unnecessary pressure
on the tool and its bit.

MAINTENANCE AND CARE

Unplug the tool from the socket
before performing any works on the
tool!
x Tool requires no special maintenance, but after some
time you must control the parts that are submitted to
wear-and-tear under normal operating conditions. This
includes the control and replacement of carbon
brushes and grease in reducing gear housing. Take
the tool to an authorized service centre.
x Keep the tool and supply cord clean. Keep ventilation
slots clean and open. Wipe the surface of the tool with
a soft cloth!

It is not allowed to use household cleaning agents
that contain petrol, trichloroethylene, ammonia
and chlorides. These substances corrode and
damage plastic parts of the tool.
x Clean the saw blade immediately after use (especially
resins and glues).
