Installation:
Connection to refillable bottle:
Screw the connection nut on the back of the pressure regulator (a) onto the external thread of the bottle valve on the refillable
bottle. Tighten the connection nut with a suitable spanner (SW 30). Close both adjusting screws (f) by turning clockwise it if they
are not already closed. Open the bottle valve of the refillable bottle all the way.
The left-hand pressure gauge (c) now shows the bottle pressure of about 60 bar and the right-hand pressure gauge (d) shows
the operating pressure of about 1.5 bar.
Connect the CO
hose of your CO
system to the connection for the CO
hose and use the adjusting screw (f) to set the amount

Connection to disposable bottle:
Detach the connection nut of the refillable bottle at the back of the pressure regulator with an Allen key (size 6). Briskly screw
the pressure regulator with the internal thread on the back (b) onto the external thread of the disposable bottle. After a few turns,
you will hear a brief hissing sound. Continue to turn briskly until you feel resistance. Then turn about half a turn more until the
pressure regulator is hand-tight.
The left-hand pressure gauge (c) now shows the bottle pressure of about 60 bar and the right-hand pressure gauge (d) shows the
operating pressure of about 1.5 bar. Please proceed as described above for refillable bottles.
Operating pressure
The pressure in the bottle is adjusted downwards by the pressure regulator to an easily manageable pressure, known as the
"operating pressure". The right-hand pressure gauge (d) of the pressure regulator indicates this operating pressure. In the JBL
m001duo pressure regulator, it is preset to approx. 1.5 bar. This is the optimum pressure for CO
fertilization of aquariums.

However, if required, the operating pressure can also be adjusted by using the adjusting screw (g). When adjusting the operating
pressure, it is important for CO
to be released i.e.at least one of the adjusting screws (f) should not be closed, as this would
2
prevent adjustment of the new operating pressure.
Changing bottles
If the bottle pressure (c) falls below 30 bar, the bottle will need to be refilled (refillable bottles) or changed (disposable bottles) in
the next 2 – 3 days.
Refillable bottles:
Close the bottle valve and disconnect the CO
hose from the pressure regulator. Open one or both of the adjusting screws (f) and
