DESCRIPTION
Dear customer, we thank you for purchasing one of our Uniteck products. Please read all instructions
carefully before using this product.
UNISPLIT is an intelligent isolator/combinor for 12V lead-acid batteries. Featuring a unique, high-power
microprocessor-controlled relay, UNISPLIT:
-
connects the main battery in parallel with the auxiliary battery/ies as soon as the main battery is
supplied with a charge (alternator or battery charger), thus enabling the entire battery pack to be
charged.
-
disconnects the batteries as soon as the load is no longer detected, thus avoiding discharging the
batteries between them.
For vehicle applications, using Batt function. Save, UNISPLIT combines the batteries only after the start-
up phase. UNISPLIT thus avoids all important current circuit of the starter (> 500A for several seconds)
which are harmful for isolator/combinor and service batteries (technology not adapted for this purpose).
ADVICE
For optimum operation, it is advisable to use batteries of similar capacities (+/- 20%).
WARNINGS
UNISPLIT is designed to be used exclusively with 12V lead-acid gel electrolyte (Gel), sealed AGM
type batteries.
Do not use to charge non-rechargeable batteries or batteries.
Use UNISPLIT in a well-ventilated room away from rain, moisture, dust and condensation.
Follow the battery manufacturer's safety instructions. If in doubt, consult your dealer or installer.
Batteries may produce flammable gas. Avoid all flames or sparks.
During battery maintenance (except GEL), there is a risk of acid leaks so protect yourself.
Never short circuit + and - of the battery or cables: risk of explosion or fire.
