Thank you for having purchased the Bluephase Meter II from Ivoclar
Vivadent. The light intensity of the polymerization light used is the
decisive factor when it comes to the sufficient curing of restorations.
In order to achieve adequate polymerization and thus durable high-
quality composite restorations, it is recommended to check the light
intensity of the polymerization lights regularly with a radiometer.
These Instructions for Use will help you to correctly start-up the
apparatus, to make full use of its capabilities and to ensure a long
service life. Should you have any further questions, please do not

Intended use
The Bluephase Meter II is a radiometer for measuring energy-rich
blue light in the wavelength range of 380–550 nm in polymeri zation
lights intended for dental use. The Bluephase Meter II is suitable for
measuring the light intensity (irradiance) in [mW/cm
light power (radiant flux) in [mW]. The intended use includes the
observation of the notes and regulations in these Instructions for
Use. Position of use – lying on the table.

The apparatus must not be disposed in the normal domestic
waste. Please visit your local Ivoclar Vivadent website for
detailed information about the disposal of the unit.

The Bluephase Meter II is a laboratory apparatus which is subject to
IEC 61010-1 (EN 61010-1). It complies with the relevant EU
regulations. The apparatus has been shipped from the manufacturer
in a safe and technically sound condition. In order to maintain this
condition and to ensure risk-free operation, the notes and
regulations in these Instructions for Use have to be observed.
