Attachment of the Driver
The voltage on the constant voltage regulator
(LED indicator) must be the same as the voltage
of the driver. The constant voltage regulator is suita-
ble exclusively for Bosch industrial battery-operated
drivers of the Exact series, the AngleExact series, and
the BT-Exact series with a voltage of between 9.6 V
and 14.4 V. Otherwise, there exists the risk of fire and
explosion.
Determine the voltage of the industrial battery-operat-
ed driver that you wish to operate with the constant
voltage regulator (see Function > Product Specifica-
tions in the operating instructions of the industrial bat-
tery-operated driver). Obtain the voltage adapter that
is appropriate for your driver.
A voltage adapter is not included in standard delivery
of the 4Exact constant voltage regulator. At present,
voltage adapters for 9.6 V, 12.0 V, and 14.4 V are
available at specialty dealers.
The voltage adapters may be differentiated, depend-
ing on the voltage, by the color of the housing of the
D-sub connector 9. The housing of the D-sub connec-
tor for a voltage of 9.6 V is light blue in color, that for a
voltage of 12 V is red in color, and that for a voltage of
14.4 V is black in color.

Take care that the constant voltage regulator is
switched off (see Operating Instructions > Putting into
Operation) or that the power cord 6 is disconnected
from the power supply.
The adapter housing 8 may be mounted in or dis-
mounted from the industrial battery-operated
driver only when the constant voltage regulator
is switched off or when the connector 9 is dis-
connected from the constant voltage regulator.
Engage the switch lock of your driver and switch off
the driver at the on/off switch. Then insert the adapter
housing 8 into the handle of the industrial battery-op-
erated driver. Take care that the adapter housing is in-
serted in the proper direction and that it perceptibly
locks in place in the handle of the industrial driver.

Subsequently, plug the connector 9 of the voltage
adapter 7 that matches your driver into the connection
socket 13. Screw the connector 9 tightly in the connec-
tion socket 13 by tightening the two screws 10 by hand.
Connection to the Power Supply
The voltage of the power source must agree with the
value given on the nameplate of the unit.
Units designated for 230 V can also be operated with
220 V.
First plug the connector 18 of the power cord 6 into
the connection socket 5 of the constant voltage regu-
lator. Now you may connect the constant voltage reg-
ulator to the power supply by plugging the plug 19 into
the power outlet.
Always first connect the power cord to the con-
stant voltage regulator before you plug the plug
19 into the power outlet. Otherwise, there exists the
risk of electric shock.

Disassembly
Disconnection from the Power Supply
First pull the plug 19 out of the power outlet. Then pull
the connector 18 of the power cord 6 out of the con-
nection socket 5 of the constant voltage regulator.
Always first disconnect the connection to the
power outlet, so as to prevent electric shock.
Disconnection of the Driver from the Constant
Voltage Regulator
The adapter housing 8 may be mounted in or dis-
mounted from the industrial battery-operated
driver only when the constant voltage regulator
is switched off or when the connector 9 is dis-
connected from the constant voltage regulator.
Loosen the two screws 10 on the connector 9 and pull
the connector out of the connection socket 13.
Subsequently, press down the release tabs 17 on the
two sides and pull the adapter housing 8 out of the
handle of the industrial battery-operated driver.
