6. Using the Delta Control 4 f
in the Digital System
When you change over to Märklin Digital,
the Delta Control 4 f can be used as a
Booster.
Important:
G
The two gray connections of the back
of the Delta Control 4 f must be
connected together with a wire and
two plugs!
G
The Delta Control 4 f will work as a
Booster in the Digital system only
when the address selector switch is
already at the right (!) emergency halt
setting, before you turn on the system.
G
When you have made the Delta
Control 4 f into a Booster, you cannot
control locomotives or powered rail
cars from it.
G
If there is a short circuit in the digital
system on the layout, the Delta
Control 4 f will automatically shut off
power to its area of the layout.

G
Do not forget the center conductor
separation insulation at all (!) transition
points in the track between the digital
area and the power consumption area
served by the Delta Control 4 f .
In addition, the rocker insulators that
are included with the Control Unit
must be installed at the transition
points between power consumption
areas, just as you would do at the
transition point between the digital
area and a conventional area of a
layout. These rocker insulators keep
the pickup shoe on the locomotive
from touching two neighboring power
consumption areas at the same
time. Please make sure that you
read the information about the rocker
insulators in the instructions for the
6021 Control Unit. The rocker insu-
lators are available under the following
spare parts numbers:
C Track rocker insulator
M Track rocker insulator
K Track rocker insulator
