OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Battery installation: open the battery compartment, placed at the back side of the unit and insert one 9 Volts battery, respecting the polarity shown in the
compartment itself. Close the battery compartment.
Place the unit on a flat and stable surface.
Press the ON/OFF/TARE button in order to switch on the display. The display shows all the segments "8888" for about 8 seconds and then it displays "0.00".
Now you can select the measuring unit, pressing the key KG/LB.

Now you can weigh your baby. Lay your baby on the scale tray. The scale will process your baby weight
and the display will show immediately the record. The unit will display the record for 2 minutes and then it shuts itself off. If you want to shut the unit off manually,
you should just press and hold for few seconds the ON/OFF/TARE button.
TARE FUNCTION
When the scale is already on: lay the container or the towel (or the object whose you want to eliminate the weight) on the scale tray, then press the TARE key.
The display shows 0.00. Now you can weigh your baby and the scale will display your baby weight only. When the scale is off: lay the towel (or the object
whose you want to exclude the weight) on the scale tray. Switch the scale on, the display shows 0.00, this means that the scale has deducted the object weight
automatically.
HOLD FUNCTION
Thanks to this function, the scale will block the record on the display, so that you can have accurate readings even when your baby moves. Switch the scale on.
Lay your baby on the tray. Press the HOLD button; the display will show HOLD and then the weight of your baby (digits are blocked on the display).The upward
arrow starts flashing on the display. In order to deactivate the function, press once the HOLD button.
LOW BATTERY INDICATOR
In case the display shows"Lo",battery is low and it is necessary to replace it.
OVERLOADING INDICATOR
The display shows this means that the weight exceeds the maximum scale capacity (over 20kg)
In order to avoid product damages, it is advisable not to overcome the maximum weight capacity.
REMOUVABLE TRAY
When the baby can stand alone, you should only remove the scale tray (unscrewing it); so your children can take his/her weight standing on the scale.
MANTENANCE AND CARE
Clean the unit with a wet cloth, avoiding water comes inside the unit. Never use chemical detergents.
Never dip the unit in water. Never place the scale upright as this will cause battery exhaustion. Avoid shaking, dropping or shocking the scale. This is a precision
instrument and must be handled with care. Never try to repair the scale by yourself but always address to specialised centres. On the contrary, the warranty
will not valid anymore.
When the scale is switch off, never place or lay any objects on it.
In case functioning trouble may occur:
- please check if battery has been correctly installed in its compartment
- please check that the unit has been placed on a flat and stable surface.
- please lay your baby on the tray only after the display has shown 0.00
WARNINGS
EXAMPLES OF IMPROPER USE:
This scale is not to be used to determine the weight of objects or substances involved in commercial transactions, for the manufacture of medicines, for
calculating tolls, tariffs, taxes, premiums, fines, wages, indemnities or other, similar charges calculated on the basis of weight. This scale can be used to control
the weight of children, but it should not be used for diagnostic activities or medical treatments. Weights which appear unusual or abnormal should always be
discussed with the child's physician. The baby scale should never be used by adults, but only by children who weight no more than 20 Kg, in order to avoid
damaging the product's hardware and/or software, and especially to keep from distorting the calibration, all of which would void the guarantee due to improper
use.
In order to avoid danger to the user of this device, the doses of any drug or therapy prescribed by one's own doctor should in no circumstances be
modified on the basis of data calculated by this device. NB: to avoid possible injury, do not step on the edge of the platform
