TO AVOID FIRE, SHOCk, OR DEATH; TuRN Off pOWeR AT CIRCUIT BREAkER OR FUSE AND TEST THAT POWER IS OFF BEFORE WIRING!
1. Raise the lid of the Weather Resistant Cover Plate and place the Flanged Inlet through the plate opening (fig. 1). The flange should rest against the plate.
2. Align mounting holes of flange with plate holes and secure with thread cutting screws provided (fig. 2). Torque screws to 6 in.-lbs. DO NOT over tighten screws.
3. Lay Gasket on the bottom side of the Cover/Flanged Inlet Assembly (fig. 3).
4. Strip Cord Jacket 1-1/4". Strip insulation to expose 5/8" of bare copper at the end of each conductor (see Strip Gage).
5. Wire Flanged Inlet per WIRING ChART and TeRmINAL CLAmp DIAGRAm. NOTe: Fully back out terminal screws. Twist all strands of each conductor tightly together. DO NOT
tin conductors. Insert each conductor into wire well and tighten terminal screw onto conductor ONLY. Torque screws to 10 - 14 in.-lbs. NOTe: Loop bare Ground wire around
Ground Wire Bracket screw leaving the end long enough to insert in Ground Terminal Well (fig. 3). Tighten Ground Wire Bracket screw.
6. Align holes of Cover/Flanged Inlet Assembly with mounting holes of Box. Ensure that Gasket is visible around the edges of Cover/Flanged Inlet Assembly for proper seal.
7. Mount Cover/Flanged Inlet Assembly to box with mounting screws (fig. 4). Torque screws to 8 in.-lbs. DO NOT over tighten screws. INSTALLATION IS COmpLeTe.
