Your maintenance kit contains high quality care
and coating products to protect your wood
products and keep them looking their best as long
as possible. Solvent-free, very low-odour, highly
suitable for children's toys.
Akubi wood varnish was developed especially to protect,
care for, and decorate Akubi playhouses, inside and out.
This includes the floors, fencing, supports and ladders. The
coloured wood varnish is also suitable for all other interior
surfaces subject to high wear, such as OSB board, cork,
glued laminated wood, worktops, furniture and naturally
children's toys.
Akubi wood varnish is very easy to use. If you follow a few
rules, you'll enjoy applying it and get great results.
First remove any coarse, loose dirt by dry brushing or
vacuuming with a soft brush head. This gets rid of small
stones, dust and chips that would otherwise give a bad
finish in varnishing.
These Akubi Maintenance Instructions were written specifically for the maintenance of an Akubi playhouse and for this
purpose cover the generally broad possible uses of Akubi wood varnish (such as other interior surfaces). WHEN MAINTAINING

Please read these Maintenance Instructions
and the important information on the pro-
ducts before use!
Before applying the varnish, stir it well with the supplied
mixer. Wear the supplied gloves when varnishing.
Wet a 40 brush in varnish and apply Akubi varnish sparingly
and evenly along the wood grain (lengthwise) to get an
even, thin coat. Akubi wood varnish goes very far - you don't
need much to cover a large surface. The varnish reaches its
full strength after 24 hours at the soonest. During this time,
protect it from moisture. After 8-10 hours a second coat
can be applied just like the first. Intermediate sanding is not
necessary. Once dry, the varnish is very water-resistant.
Akubi wood varnish can be thinned with water. The brush
can be cleaned easily with water. No special cleaner is
needed.
After drying, Akubi wood varnish is unaffected by sweat and
saliva.
The product is tested and biologically harmless.
