red knob on the centre of the timer dial
clockwise until one of the green pins
activates the feeder.
23. Afterwards, close both covers by gripping
both sides as shown in Fig 20 and press
firmly. Ensure that the doors are properly
closed to prevent rain getting inside.
24. Finally re-attach the feeder to the support
bracket.
Guidelines on Feeding Fish
The amount of fish food needed to keep your
fish healthy depends on the quantity of fish in
your pond, their size, the season and the water
temperature of the pond.
We recommend using Hozelock Nutri-Koi or
Nutri-Stik.
In general the following guidelines apply:
Winter - No feeding.
Late Autumn and Early Spring - 1-2 x per day
small quantity
From Late Spring through Summer and early
autumn - 2-6 feedings per day, but this will
depend on your stocking levels.
Only feed as much as the fish will eat in a few
minutes. You should then remove left over food.
Typically, using Nutri-Koi, the feeder will dispense
the complete chamber contents in 18-20 feeds
when set to Max.
Cleaning
* The outside of the feeder can be cleaned using
a damp soft cloth. Do not use detergents.
* The feed chamber can be washed in warm
water without detergents. After cleaning, dry
thoroughly with a soft cloth before replacing
into the feeder.
* Never use harsh abrasives.
Winter Storage
When not being used, empty the feeding
chamber of any food, remove batteries and store
in a dry, frost protected area.
Troubleshooting
Neither the timer dial nor the food chamber
operates
* Check and replace the batteries.
* Check that the unit has not been dropped
into water.
The black time indicator pin (Fig 2 No 5) is not
visible.
* Replace batteries
The Timer clock operates but the food chamber
does not.
* Check that food has not jammed the food
chamber. If it has, remove the chamber,
clean out the blockage and replace the
chamber.
* Check and replace the batteries. Note that
as the batteries discharge, there may only
be enough power left to operate the clock,
but not the feed chamber.
* Check that the unit has not been dropped in
water.
The unit operates, but no food is dispensed
* Check there is food in the food chamber.
* Check that the dosage slider is opened far
enough so the food can be dispensed.
* Check that the food is not wet and clogged.
If it is, remove the wet food, clean the
chamber and dry thoroughly before
replacing with clean dry food.
* Check that the food container is properly
fixed in place.
