Connect the unit
Figure D-E:
Oase recommends hoses suitable for a minimum pressure of 1 bar.
− Cut the stepped hose connectors (4) to suit the hose diameter.
− Slide the union nut over the stepped hose connector (4), fit the hose on the stepped hose connector (4) and secure
with hose clips (5).
− Insert the flat seals or O rings in the union nut, screw the stepped hose adapters (4) to the inlet (13) and outlet (12),
and screw hand-tight.
− Vitronic 18-55: If necessary, you can change over the inspection window (3) and the supply hose at the two inlets
(13).
Insert UVC lamp
Attention! Ultra-violet radiation.
Possible consequences: Eye or skin injury from burns.
Protective measures:
− Never operate the UVC lamp outside its housing.
− Never operate the UVC lamp in a housing that is defective.
Attention! Breakable glass.
Possible consequences: Injury of your hands caused by cuts.
Protective measures: Handle both quartz glass and UVC lamp with care.
Figure F-L:
− If not already done, open the unit (see under Unit setup)
Important!Only use lamps the designation and rating of which match the information on the type plate.
− Loosen the self-tapping screw (7) until the the screw tip is sunk in the housing of the clamping screw (8).
− Unscrew the clamping screw (8) counter-clockwise.
− Pull off the quartz glass (9) including the O ring (10) by exerting a slight rotary movement.
− Insert the supplied UVC lamp (11) in the socket at the unit head (2).
− Insert the quartz glass (9) including the O ring (10) against the stop in the unit head (2).
− Press the O ring (10) into the gap between unit head (2) and quartz glass.
− Tighten the clamping screw (8) clockwise up to the stop.
− Tighten the self-tapping screw (7).
Note!
A safety switch prevents switching on the UVC lamp as long as the UVC water housing is removed.
Reassembling the unit
Figure K:
− Check the O ring (12) at the unit head (2) for damage; replace, if necessary.
− Carefully push the unit head (2) into the housing (1) up to the stop while applying slight pressure. While doing so,
slightly turn the unit head (2) to ensure that the tenons and the grooves of the bayonet closure intermesh.
− Turn the unit head (2) clockwise up to the stop. (Vitronic 11: The two arrow on the housing and the unit head point to
each other).
Start-up
Attention! Dangerous electrical voltage.
Possible consequences: Death or severe injury.
Protective measures:
− Prior to reaching into the water, switch off the mains voltage to all units used in the water.
− Switch off the mains voltage prior to carrying out work on the unit.
