1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Incorrect use and improper handling can cause malfunctions in the appliance and injuries to the user.
• This appliance must be used only for its intended purposes. No liability is accepted for damages caused by
improper use and handling.
• Before plugging the appliance to the mains supply, please check whether the voltage matches the technical
details present on the nameplate of the appliance.
• Do not immerse the appliance or its plug in water or other liquids. Should the appliance fall in water, unplug
it immediately and have it checked by an authorized service centre before using it again. Otherwise, you could
be in danger of electrical shock!
• Do not try to open the housing by yourself! Do not introduce any kind of object into the housing.
• Do not use the appliance, nor handle the plug, with wet hands, on moist floors, or in humid environments.
• Check the power cord and plug regularly for damages. If the power cord or plug is damaged, it must be repla-
ced by the official technical support service, an authorised service centre, or a similarly qualified person, in order
to avoid hazards.
• Do not operate the appliance if its power cord or plug show damages, nor if the unit falls to the floor or has
been damaged in any way. In such cases, send the appliance for repairs.
• Do not ever try to repair the unit by yourself. You could be in danger of electrical shock!
• Do not let the power cord hang over sharp edges. Keep it away from hot objects and heat sources. Do not pull
from the power cord to unplug the appliance, instead, carefully pull from the plug. Make sure that no one trips
over the power cord or extension cords.
• If a long extension cable is used, it must be suitable for the mains voltage. Otherwise, it can cause overheating
of the power cord and/or plug.
• Set the unit on a rigid, flat, and heatproof surface, away from heat sources (such as ovens) and out of reach of
children.
• This appliance is designed for domestic use only, do not use outdoors.
• Children should be supervised to make sure that they do not play with the appliance.
• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or men-
tal capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, as long as they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way, and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children, unless they are aged 8 or above and supervised.
• Unplug the appliance when not in use and before cleaning.
• Caution! The appliance will be on so long as it is connected to the mains supply.
• Be extremely careful when handling the blades, emptying the jar, and cleaning.
• Avoid potential injuries caused by misuse.
