Alarm function
The Testboy
measurement, the temperature limits set are exceeded or not attained, an
acoustic alarm is emitted.
In addition, the respective alarm is indicated on the display with "((( HI" or
"LOW )))"
Changing the alarm limit setting
Keep the button MODE pressed for approx. 3 Sec. until the symbol "
flashes on the display.
By again momentarily pressing the button MODE, the setting for the alarm
values is called up. "HAL" presents the upper alarm value (High Alarm),
"LAL" the lower alarm value (Low Alarm).
Use the buttons (7) and (8) on the secondary display to set the value
required.
In order to return to the measuring mode, again keep the button MODE
pressed for approx. 3 seconds.
Contact measurement with the temperature sensor
In order to carry out temperatures with an external sensor (Type K)
connected, connect this to the jack (5) on the lower end of the pistol grip.
Keep pressing the button MODE until "TK" illuminated on the display.
The value measured is presented on the secondary display.
Replacing the battery
If the instrument is not used for a longer period of time, remove the batteries
and keep the instrument in an environment that is not moist or too hot.
Do not leave any used batteries in the measurement instrument, because
even batteries protected against discharge can corrode and, thus, release
chemicals that could damage your health and destroy the instrument.
