Functions
The functionality of the RSL 410 with CU405-2M12 connection unit is limited:
– Safe sensor function with the two OSSD outputs of protective function A
– MELD non-safe signal output. The MELD output can be configured with mul-
tiple signals via the Sensor Studio configuration and diagnostic software.
For data communication, the following options are available as configuration inter-
face:
– ETH Ethernet communication connection
– Communication via Bluetooth
The following functions of the RSL 410 are not available when using the
CU405-2M12 connection unit:
– EDM
– Start/restart interlock

Configuration

NOTICE
Use configuration only for RSL 410 with connection unit CU405-2M12!

Use the configurations for RSL 410 with connection unit
CU405-2M12 only for scanner units with connection unit
CU405-2M12.
Configurations for RSL 410 with connection unit CU405-2M12
may not be used for scanner units with other connection units.
The RSL 410 is configured for the respective scanner unit independent of the
CU405-2M12 connection unit.
– The Sensor Studio configuration and diagnostics software does not monitor
configuration restrictions which are caused by the CU405-2M12 connection
unit.
– Configured functions, in which attention has not been paid to the restrictions
that are caused by the CU405-2M12 connection unit, are not available at
runtime. As a result, the switching-on of the OSSDs is prevented or error
messages are output if necessary.
