3. Connecting the Transformer
Make sure that the power cords for all of the transformers used with your layout are
disconnected from the household current before connecting a transformer to the
layout!
3.1 Possible Uses for the Different Transformers

Train operation with AC current for Märklin H0 oder 1
Conventional hookup of turnouts and signal mechanisms
Conventional hookup of model railroad lighting
Powering the no. 6604 Delta-Control
Powering the no. 66045 Delta-Control 4f
Powering the 6021 Control-Unit or 6017 Booster

3.2 Connecting the 60 VA Transformer
Two special connector sockets are located on the back of the 60 VA transformer,
and only the special plugs included with the transformer can be connected to them.
One of these special plugs is already connected to a power cable for Märklin
Systems.
Caution: The following procedures for connections or changes in connections may
only be done, when the power cords for all transformers on a layout are unplugged
from the wall outlets!
3.2.1 60 VA Transformer to Mobile Station
Insert the special plug with the power cable for the Mobile Station into one of the
two connector sockets on the 60 VA transformer. Insert the connector plug for the
track power unit into the socket assigned to this unit on the Mobile Station's track
connection. Plug the Mobile Station hand controller into the left master input on the
track connector. (See Figure 6). Now, plug the power cord into the wall outlet to
start operations.
