Spring ISD is proud to loan your family a Franklin T9 hotspot to facilitate learning this academic year.
The hotspot should only be used for Spring ISD related academic activities. The hotspot has a 2 GB
data limit. After 2 GB, data speed will decrease. You can monitor the usage on the hotspot's display.
How to turn on the hotspot:
1. Press the ​ P
ower/Menu​
light up and the display screen will turn on.
2. A ​ W elcome ​ message will appear on the display screen.
3. When the display screen shows T-Mobile, the hotspot is ready for use.
Begin using your new device:
1. Make sure the Mobile Hotspot is turned on (see How to power on device section).
2. Press the ​ P
ower/Menu​
a. Two times to see the Wi-Fi Name (SSID)
b. Three times for the Password
3. Start up your Chromebook.
a. Click on the icon in the lower right corner of the screen
b. Select the Wi-Fi Name (SSID).
c. Enter the Password.
How to turn off the hotspot:
1. Press the ​ P
ower/Menu​
on the display screen. The LED indicator light will also turn off.
2. The Network and Wi-Fi connections have been disabled.
