ADVICE
To wind the rope/strap out quickly, remove the crank handle!
Pulling a load
1. Pull locking lever outwards (Fig. 5-1).
2. Turn the locking lever in the "ZIEHEN-PULL" direction and engage the pawl (Fig. 5-2).
The load is held in its current position.
CAUTION!
Risk of accident due to the crank handle flying back. Pawl must be engaged!
3. Turn the crank handle clockwise.
Deflection angle
ADVICE
The deflection angle when winding the rope in or out must not exceed 4° (Fig. 6-1).
MAINTENANCE AND CARE
CAUTION!
Danger due to wear!
Check ropes/straps regularly for wear. Damaged ropes/straps must be exchanged immediately!
Checking the towing winch
A check by a qualified person is always required:
During initial commissioning.
After each reassembly.
According to the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health, qualified persons are persons who,
due to industrial training, experience and recent work activities, possess the technical knowledge
necessary to check the work equipment.
Inspection work
Check that the crank handle turns smoothly.
Check that the locking sleeve moves smoothly.
Check the locking function of the pawl.
Oil and lubrication points
The winch is supplied pre-lubricated. Re-grease the following points regularly:
Drum hub.
Sprocket.
Bearing sleeve of the drive shaft.
Locking sleeve.
Grease recommended by AL-KO:
OMV Whiteplex1 multipurpose grease.
Staburags NBU12K multipurpose grease.
