Hold limbs at a distance from the equipment's
moving parts. Rotating parts!
Caution!
Starter cord can spring back to the motor faster
than the cord can be let loose.

O nly start the motor and allow it to run outdoors
Only start motor in a horizontal position
Control oil level
Tie up long hair and take off jewelry
Do not wear loose fi tting clothing

Start motor

Press primer bulb 3x, in time intervals of about
2 seconds. For temperatures under 10° C, press primer
bulb 5x.

Pull on starter cord expeditiously and then allow it to roll
up again slowly.
For operationally warmed motors, do NOT use the
primer bulb!
Caution!
Running motors produce heat. Motor parts,
particularly the exhaust, become extremely hot.
Burn danger!
Hold hands and feet at a distance from rotating
parts
Hold fl ammable foreign objects far from the
exhaust and cylinder area
Allow exhaust, cylinders and cooling fi ns to cool
before touching

Transport
Only transport the motor when the fuel tank is
empty
Always transport motor with the sparkplug facing
upward, otherwise there develop:
Smoke emission
Diffi cult starting
Sooty sparkplug
Storage
Storing motor
Caution!
Do not store motor near open fl ames or heating
sources - Burn and/or explosion danger!
Allow motor to cool
Store motor in a well ventilated room, not in the
vicinity of open fl ames or heating sources
Avoid the following areas when storing:
Proximity to open fl ames
Proximity to heating sources
where electrical motors are operated
where electrical tools are used
With motors that are stored longer than 30 days,
that drain fuel or are protected with a stabilizer,
since they otherwise form deposits in the fuel
system
Callibration
Danger!
Before callibration, maintenance and repair work,
always turn off the motor and secure it.
Pull ignition wire and hold at a distance from the
spark plug
Carburetor Adjustment
Carburetor callibration may only be carried
out by authorized workshops or by our customer
service department.
