Manual for signal amplifier (APE80)
Operating instructions
The signal amplifier can be used directly and the default setting is to transmit the signal of all the
pagers used in the place.
1. Initializing the amplifier
Keep pressing the key "initialize" for one second and the indicator light is on. Release the key and
wait. When the indicator light is off, the initialization is finished.
2. Signal transmitting mode setting
1) Transmitting signal of all of the pagers.
When the indicator light is on, keep pressing the key "mode" for one second and release the key
when the light is off. Then, the signal of all the call buttons will be transmitted by the amplifier.
2) Transmitting signals of the pagers registered into the amplifier when the indicator light is off.
Keep pressing the key "mode" for one second and release the key when the light is off. Then, the
signal of the pagers registered into the amplifier will be transmitted.
3. Registering the pager
1) Keep pressing the key "register" for one second and when the register indicator light is on.
Press the call button that needs to be registered. If the register indicator blinks, it means the
registration is done.
※Special notes: If the pager had been registered already, the register indicator light won't blink.

After the registration, keep pressing the key "register" for one second and when the
registration indicator light is off, it means the amplifier exits the registration mode.
※Special notes: the key "call" serves as the key of a call button and will be used in choosing the
installation position.
Testing and installation instructions
Powered on—red lights flashing
Receiving signal — yellow lights flashing
Transmitting signal—green lights flashing
■Don't fix the amplifier only after preliminary test.
■Draw out the two pieces of antennas and make sure the angle between the antennas and the
ground is 45°.
■Selecting the installation position
Register the key "call" of the amplifier into the receiver. Move the amplifier from the receiver to
the furthest pager and keep pressing the key "call" at the same time. The place where the
receiver cannot receive signals from the pager is the optimum location for the amplifier.
If the position that the receiver can't receive the signal is known, then, that is the best place to fix
the amplifier.
