Maintenance and Cleaning

Before any work on the machine itself, pull the

mains plug.
Always keep the machine and the ventilation slots
I
clean for proper and safe working.
When the sanding plate is changed (see Changing the
Sanding Plate), check the sealing collar 10 for dam-
age. Have a damaged sealing collar replace by Berner
customer service.
WARNING
Important instructions for connecting a new 3-
pin plug to the 2-wire cable.
The wires in the cable are coloured according to the
following code:
Strain relief
Live = brown
Neutral = blue
Do not connect the blue or brown wire to the earth ter-
minal of the plug.
Important: If the plug on the cable of this machine
must be replaced, dispose of the old plug to prevent
misuse.
Should the machine fail in spite of the care taken in the
manufacturing and testing procedures, the repair is to
be performed by an authorised customer service loca-
tion.
For all inquires and replacement parts orders, always
include the article number from the nameplate of the
machine.

Disposal
Power tools, accessories, and packaging should be
disposed of for recycling in an environmentally friendly
manner.
