Reason/Solution
A. The probe is not positioned
properly against the ear canal
– The tip of the probe
must be inserted snugly
against the opening
of the ear canal
B. The waterproof lens of
the ear probe is dirty
– Clean the lens with an
alcohol-moistened,
soft cloth
A. Scanning sequences are not
operated in the ear canal
– It may occur if you operate
the device before placing
the ear probe snugly
against your ear canal.
The thermometer will read
the ambient temperature
which will most likely be
below the measuring range
of 93.2°F (34°C)
– Place ear probe against
the ear canal to gain an
accurate temperature
reading
A. Battery is too low to take
a measurement
– Replace the batteries
