Safety notes
These safety notes are to be observed.
Installation, initial operation, maintenance and repairs have to
be carried out by authorised and qualified trade persons.
(VDE, EN12975 & DIN 4807)
Attention
In case of a back-flow of heat from the storage cylinder to
the collector circuit, the permissible excess working
pressure in the pipework between the storage cylinder
and the pump group can be exceeded
• All ball valves within the solar station (supply and return ball
valves as well as the compensation valve) and the collector
circuit (e.g. filling and flushing device) must be re-opened
once filling and flushing is completed
• All ball valves must remain open during operation
• During maintenance and repair, a warming up of the storage
cylinder must be prevented by switching off the boiler.
• The connection between the storage cylinder and the solar
station must be protected by an additional safety valve
and/or a diaphragm expansion tank
Installation notes
The transmission unit/pump circuit is supplied pre-assem-
bled. The compression fittings are to be ordered separately.
The transmission unit/pump circuit must always be mounted
at a lower level than the collectors so that no steam may pene -
trate the expansion tank in case of stagnation.
If the expansion tank is mounted at the same or at a higher
level than the transmission unit/pump circuit, a thermal insu-
lation loop is required. The installation has to be flushed with
fresh water after each draining operation.
The transmission unit/pump circuit is not suitable for direct
contact with swimming pool water.
The transmission station with deaerator is equipped with a
vent pot for the deaeration of the heat transfer medium.
Assembly notes
1.1 Remove transmission unit/pump circuit (1) from insula-
tion. To do so, pull off the front insulation (3) and draw
apart the back insulation shells (4 and 5).
1.2 For each wall mounting device (6) drill 8 mm holes at a
distance of 262/312 mm. Fix transmission unit (1) using
the wall mounting device (6).
For pump circuit (1) unclip the wall mounting device (6)
and fix it by screwing it onto the wall. Engage the pump
circuit (1) with the wall mounting device (6).
When connecting "Regusol" stations to flexible pipe-
works (e.g. corrugated metal hoses), we recommend to
use not only the wall bracket supplied with the station but
also the locking shackle, item no. 136 90 90.
1.3 Connect pipework of the solar circuit to the upper and
lower connection by use of the compression fittings.
When using soft and thin walled pipes, reinforcing sleeves
are to be used for the additional stabilisation of the pipe.
The ends of the pipe have to be cut at right angles and
have to be free of burrs. Introduce pipe until stop and
firmly tighten the compression fittings by using a spanner.
Hold firm while tightening.
1.4 Screw safety group (2) onto the ball valve. Mount dischar -
ging pipe of the safety valve towards the collecting basin
and the connection pipe of the safety group (2) towards
the expansion tank.
