Installing the VCI Ma-
nager software
The "VCI Manager" software must be installed
on the computer in order to configure, update
and run diagnostic applications targeted for the
computer. Initially you use the "VCI Manager"
software to set up the configuration of each
Opel-Vauxhall-VCI.

Update Firmware
!
Do not unplug the Opel-Vauxhall-VCI from the
Computer or remove the USB cable from the
Opel-Vauxhall-VCI during the update process.
1. Use the USB connecting cable sup-
plied (fig. 1, item 3) to connect the
Opel-Vauxhall-VCI (fig. 1, item 1) to the
computer.

2. Start the VCI-Manager from the Start menu
on your computer.
? The Opel-Vauxhall-VCI will be detected and
displayed inside the VCI-Manager.
3. Select the Opel-Vauxhall-VCI icon inside the
VCI-Manager.
? The button <Connect> will be renamed to
the button <Recover>.
4. Select the button <Recover> to start the firm-
ware update process.
5. Select the button <Start Update> to install the
current firmware on the Opel-Vauxhall-VCI.
6. Select <OK> to continue.

The update process will take about 5 minutes
to complete. Once the update process is com-
plete, the Opel-Vauxhall-VCI will automatically
reboot. Wait until you hear the beep from the
Opel-Vauxhall-VCI before proceeding to use
your Opel-Vauxhall-VCI.
